Mindfulness is the new buzz word going around. Based on the ancient eastern art of meditation. Mindfulness allows us to take time out of busy lives to slow down, find clarity and perspective. Mindfulness encourages us to be aware of our thoughts in a non-judgmental, non-critical manner. Once we are able to this, we can be compassionate with ourselves, realising we are NOT our thoughts and letting unwanted thoughts drift past like clouds in the sky. This basically allows us to catch negative thought patterns before they turn into anxious, stressed and depressive feelings and behaviours. It has been proven scientifically that Mindfulness reduces anxiety, stress and depression and has a positive effect on our brain patterns. The practice of Mindfulness brings about a deep stillness, which is relaxing and restful.

Life Practice St Albans offers Mindfulness classes and courses to individuals, groups, business and companies. Mindfulness based stress reduction (MBSR) and Mindfulness based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) sessions are now regularly being incorporated in to the business world to help reduce work place stress.
